Hello,

Does the loadDirectory() function require more than Standard User access to be used? if so, what type of access?

Thanks for the response! I did not get an error message. I just wanted to know if there is a specific access you need to have to use this function. I am a database manager and had no trouble using it but other developers that are standard users indicated that this is requiring more than standard user access so I'd like to know the type of access that they need.

Thanks!

You need "createUser" powers to see and manipulate the User database (User properties) so it would not surprise me that those lacking that power cannot load the user directory.  DB Managers get that power.  You can give that specific power to specific users by defining them of type "Custom".

On a related issue my notes say that some User information is available without loading the user database:

  • disabled, ldapRDN, identifier, name.  These are type "AgentElement_".

The other user information, type "UserElement_", require the load and also require the saveDirectory should you modify them.
